Hands-On Workshops – November 6, 2025
Kick off your Farmstead Forum experience with an entire day of hands-on, small-group workshops designed to give you real skills, real confidence, and real results. These pre-conference workshops are special add-on sessions, separate from the main Farmstead Forum event — and you don’t need an event ticket to participate (though you’re warmly invited to join us Nov. 7–8!).
What to Expect:
-
Intimate class sizes for one-on-one instruction
-
Practical, skill-based learning — take home what you make or process
-
Time to network and ask detailed questions in a small-group setting
-
Workshops held at Venue 1625 in Carrollton, GA the day before the main event
Workshops Offered:
-
Poultry Processing with Chance & Ally Roberson (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) – Learn how to humanely process chickens start to finish. Includes two non-GMO pasture-raised birds to take home.
-
Canning with Kayla Hales (1:00 PM – 4:30 PM) – Master safe, reliable home preservation methods using both water bath and pressure canning techniques.
-
Folk Medicine with Darryl Patton (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM) – Explore medicinal plants on a guided walk and learn how to safely identify and use herbs in everyday life.
Note: All participants must sign a liability and injury waiver upon arrival. Spaces are limited, and tickets are sold separately from the main Farmstead Forum event (Nov. 7–8).
